    slave/master cylinder for m50 trans

I know this is probably a stupid question but... if im using my e30 master cylinder, and i am using the m50 trans, is there anything i have to change in order for the e36 slave to work with the e30 master??

--Or do i just use the e30 slave(im guessing probably not though)

    Thanks, -Nick

e36 SLAVE cylinder. Nothing else needs to be changed (master, lines, ETC). e30 one will not work.

Any "upgraded" master cylinder's that we can use with the 260?

MEh I used the E30 master and E36 slave with a UUC line. Clutch feels good and stiff. I did spend $720 on my clutch fly kit though. :loco:

The e30 master wont work with the e36 slave..?

I ordered a pre modified 320i booster from a guy who stips down cars from down south, does the e36 master hook right up to that modified booster?

--or should i just not waste my time and just use the e30 master-e36 slave

We are talking clutch hyrdraulics... nothing to do with the brake booster.

The clutch system has a master(takes pedal force and uses a piston to pressurize fluid) and a slave cylinder(takes pressure and converts it to force). If you are using the E36 trans then you want to use the reg old E30 CLUTCH master cylinder and the E36 CLUTCH slave cylinder. The brake booster is all together another system.

Hey, just off topic a bit, what are you guys doing for a reservoir for the clutch fluid? The old system shared the reservoir with the brakes, but the remote reservoir I got per the brake booster thread has no port for it. I'm debating trying to plug the holes and mount the old reservoir for the clutch only.

Look for a 2002 or e28 brake fluid bottle.

I would think damn near any JDM car will have a res with a bracket you COULD use.

A lot of them mount the res on the master like e30s do.

I know for certain the 95 Hyundai Accent has a independent clutch res.

                              I had one.
