If you're using the E30 M3 firewall shrouds to route the wires, you just throw away the plastic case on the engine harness, right? I don't see any other way of that working...

In addition to throwing away the plastic cover, you may have to lose some of the rubber bellows to get the new cover to fit.
I had to cut away the one on the far left and one of the two in the center of the plenum.
