OBD2 Coil packs with OBD1 harness?

I've noticed I will not be able to run the coil pack cover in this configuration, but will my car atleast run? Are there any differences between the coilpacks other than the plug orientation?

    Thanks!

Hopefully this thread will shed some light on your situation. Also, bdi_fc has done the OBD-I swap, I just can't find his thread that details what needs to be done.

You mean the plastic cover? You can, just gotta dremel 2 chunks out where the new lines go in. Just set it on top and you will see what I mean.

I used the S52 (OBDII) coil packs with the OBDI harness. No issues that I know of.
