whatcha think of this airbox?

it's from an alpina B10
3.5" inlet, drop in filter... woo hah!

Might work... though the B10 draws air from the exhaust side of the engine.

well, the way i see it fitting, is obviously flipping it around, from the direction it's facing in this pic... the intake tube would then be facing straight down near the fender well.. i can then run a piece of flex tube from there to a spot in the grille, or in the valance..

think i can just stick a plug in that smaller opening?

is your abs controller in the way? I have an m50 box that id like to modify. I need to do something for my intake though. Perhaps a vortec.

I understand plugging that stray hole because of warm air, but I'd at least cut it flush back at the housing & fg - resin in a patch - or even leaving the hole - if the inlet hole on the pre-filter side is the same or smaller than 3.5" like the filtered side.

Like etasport asked - does this interfere with the ABS controller location? Have you deleted yours?

yeah, planned to cut it back and make it look more tidy...

im not sure if it will interfere.. still dont even know if it will fit.. still waiting for it to arrive!

i havent deleted mine, although for some reason, it has not worked since the swap.. not sure if i like it tho, without the ABS... i have locked em up twice in sketchy traffic situations.

That little side dealie... it's blocked off at the end, right?

I would just leave it. It's probably a helmholz resonator. Nice things to have.
