more power out of an m50

I finished my m50 swap about three months ago, and now I want to add some power. I have a light wieght flywheel that has yet to be installed, and besides that its stock. Its a non vanos engine so that limits me from bolting up m3 cams, what have you guys done that has shown a lot of gain? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Is there a cheap cam option out there? I know I can use an s50 crank what about an s52 crank?

Swap intake to exhaust and buy one Schrick 252 for the intake. Then get the Turner chip. Oh and install your lightweight fly it works WONDERS!!

I have done plenty of research, its hard to get through an m50 swap without doing any research. My understanding was you could only use one shrick cam like SWISS suggested, not one m3 cam.
Is there another cam option besides spending $750 on one camshaft?

Chip and S50 cam, "cold" air intake, headers, good exhaust, and a good LSD. Turbo FTW. BTW is there anyone out there that makes a turbo kit for a M50 E30? Mostly the exhaust manifold.

go turbo, best bang for the buck, u could probably get a turbo set-up done for like $1k or less, then talk to nick-g about tuning

no engine build tricks are going to result in a bigger bang for the buck than just increasing the displacement.

I have posted the NV cam thing like 5 times, you should be able to find it. With the tuner chip it nets 20-30hp, with good intake exhaust, the light fly, and underdrives you should be pleased. But like others have said if you thirst for more you will have to turbo or yank it out for an S5X.

Indeed it will. Hopefully that'll be my project for next winter.
