Oil capacity...

I put 5.5 quarts in my 318is and i don't think it affects it that much, however my friend said who lose a small bit of power because the engine has to move extra oil

Uh, that's only if the oil in the sump is actually getting into contact with the crank. And with only one extra quart, and the fact we have windage trays, I highly doubt any power is lost.

Yeah true, the power loss is minimal if any. Just more viscous drag on the motor, so a bit more work for the same power output, but super super minimal

I would buy that if I actually changed my oil that often. 8,000 miles takes a while.

And if someone's gonna say that's too long of an interval, don't worry...I use Amsoil:D

I would never use it. I reather open the drain plug and let all that dirt and tiny amounts of metal shaving to float away then keep them in my oil pan and put fresh oil on top of it.
