    How to Properly Install CSB

jst wondering if anyone could help me out and reinstall my Center Support Bearing Properly.
the problem is, it doesn't bolt up straight with the holes on the body. i have to slightly tilt it for it to fit properly and that even, it will be sitting right on the edge of the wholes rather than in between.
J st for reference, im running an e36 Getrag tranny with the extended E30 drive shaft.

has anyone else experience something like that during their installation?

I pressed mine on with proper sized exhaust pipe and put the C clip back on. If the C clip fits it should be on all the way. Make sure it is preloaded and you have it on the correct direction.

i think u guys misunderstood my question.
I didn't remove the CSB from the rear shaft since it still looked like new.
its just that after i installed my new motor/tranny, it doesn't line up perfectly straight with the bolt holes on the body. and when it does, it sits right on the edge of holes which doesn't make it straight.

500 miles or so. Haven't checked it.

I will be installing an e36 driveshaft whenever I get a chance.

So reviving this thread. If I am using a 328 drive shaft from an E36, I have to install an E30 CSB backwards?
I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

not that i know of, I was told this repeatedly and when the day came it went on the same way as stock (for E30)

There are two CSBs for E30s. An early and a late. The cut-off date was late '87 IIRC. I have an 88 M3 with a 6/87 build date and my car took the early CSB.

                              Are you sitting down?

The early CSB costs about $140
