Couldn't find answer in previous posts. Planning to do obd2 to 1 conversion. Would a 95 m3 non ews harness work?

Yes it would.
You can use the harness from any 93-95 325i or 95 M3, or 93-95 525i (any M50 or S50 car with Vanos)
You can use any 413 or 506 (last numbers of the Bosch part number) DME. Silver vs. red label 413 doesn't really matter to you as you will need to replace the chip if you want it to run right anyway.
Shortly I will be selling OBDI S52 chips that will include EWS delete capabilities for those with silver label ECUs. I don't want to elaborate much more than that before I get hooked up as a forum sponsor. Keep an eye peeled.
BTW, auto and manual harnesses are different, but work the same. You may want to cut off the extra wires for the auto trans and trans computer, but you don't really have to.
