    Can i use the starter off my M20 on my M52?

    Im using the ZF from a m3, can i use the starter from my getrag? or do i need a starter off a ZF?

    You can use the Getrag/M20 starter if you also use the M20's flywheel .

    Or you can swap starter pinion gears .

    E30 M3 / E30 325is / E34 525iT / E34 535i

      im using an s50 flywheel. no go?

        What this means is that the trans does NOT matter .
        You have to match the starter with the flywheel .

        The old M20 starter can be used with the S50 flywheel but you have to swap the starter gear with the one from the E36 .

        E30 M3 / E30 325is / E34 525iT / E34 535i
