    MAF help

Hey guys, I have a nonvanos m50 and in thinking about supercharging with a custom chip but i want a little more than that gives hp wise. So i wanted to do the 3.5 euro maf. I noticed that the 6 pin plug for n/v maf sensor only uses 4 wires. I know you can get the harness connections from bmw for the later style meter. Basically i want to see if any one has the diagram for a vanos car for the "air mass meter" Or if anyone knows if this is even doable.

    Thanks
    -Chris

If you are going to supercharge your car and want more power, get a smaller pulley on the blowe or a larger pulley on the crank.

The 3.5 is more trouble than its worth?

A friend got some decent gains from that and a good exhaust system and a tune ofcourse. Hes got a s/c s50 though.

Im glad you posted. id need software for the set up for sure. Is this something racers market could help with?

      Thanks
      -Chris

Hmm... We don't usually work with any non-vanos motors, but I don't think it's a problem.

What sort of supercharger setup are you thinking of? If it's just an off the shelf AA or Dinan or VFE or whatever, just run the chip it comes with. If you need a custom tune from there, we can probably help.

The one im looking at is a dinan kit off a 95 m3. He has a tune for 8psi i think but its for the s50. What do you think the best way to go about it would be.

The best way to go about it is to swap in an S50 with that kit.

You will be boosting too high running that kit on an M50NV and you will need a custom chip.

5psi on an S50 will be 8psi on an M50NV (I don't know for sure, that's just for example)

Anyway, it will probably work fine but you will need custom software.
