You know what I used for a Y pipe? I got a steel single 2.5inlet to dual 2.25 Exhaust tip for $10. Beat that.

Dude, that sounds awesome. How badly does it resonate in the cab?

looks good. That's what I'm planning to do, I'd love to hear a sound clip. I am also planning to put in a resonator though up near the Y-pipe, right around where the transmission is.

Cost me $550. It's loud but not too loud. I'll see if I can get a sound clip.

That looks great! How does it sound, and how much did it cost complete? I'm looking to replace the exhaust from the header back on my cabrio and am curious to hear your opinions on your setup.

Just got the car back from the muffler/exhaust shop. Here are some pictures of what I'm running. OBD 2 tube manifolds, I welded the ports closed but then used a cover from a E90 330i to cover the hole. The cover had to be ground down a little to sit flush. Part number for the cover is 11727511542. Rest is dual 2" into Magnaflow cat to 2.5" single out. With a 18 inch rear Magnaflow muffler. With the sleeper 318i looking tip.

I personally dont think it will be obtrusive...but it will sound strong, and perhaps even resonate inside car. Did you hear my video?.........2.5 single ...header ..mf cat ..borla turbo....on an m20 tho

Well I got the car towed down to the exhaust shop and he's going to use Chevy manifold bracket with dual 2 inch pipes from the manifold to a dual in mangaflow cat with a single 2.5 out with a magnaflow turbo muffler. Going to try that out. If it too loud there will be space to put an resanator before the muffler.

It is welded together. Some guy on bimmerforums made an manifold back exhaust for an 95 M3 and it looked pretty good.
I used a Flowmaster y-pipe and it worked out extremely well!

I'm going to use an AA track pipe (just the down pipe part) to connect to my OBDII manifolds. I think it's a 3" outlet on that so I can go 3" straight back from there. No idea if it will work well, just bought a new AA track pipe for $150 shipped yesterday!
