    temp sensor ? e30 m3

    Ok I removed the temp quage sensor from my s14 and it has 1 wire , the m50 harness has 2 wires what sensor do I order for proper guage readout ? thanks I did try to search by the way !

    yep, use that s14 single wire temp sensor. cheers, jason

          thanks head drilled tapped and sensor installed .

          Its no big deal to drill and tap .

            agreed. however the drill/tap needs to be VERY perpendicular to the mating surface or it might leak. ive heard of some that try to use plumbers thread tape to stop seepage. not recommended.....the sensor needs contact with the head to ground.

              Obviously you will need to connect the correct wire at the X20 (out of two coolant temp wires) to the correct single wire in the C101. This isn't hard.
