So we were talking about boosters failing rarely...

Well, it happened to me today.

I was at a BMWCCA autox this morning and during one of my runs I hit the brakes and it was hard as a rock (25mm master cylinder) and I had to push hard as hell to get slow. Originally I thought the vac line had popped out or something, but it's just leaking vacuum. I get a nice hissing noise in the cabin when I get on the brakes.

I'm glad this didn't happen last weekend at Road Atlanta....

PS: This is an iX booster and I'm planning on replacing it with another used one.

GL with the fun that entails putting a new one in with the motor still in the car
Perot isn't a Hillary hater, but he's not a fan either, relating the bumper sticker he received that reads: "Monica Lewinsky's Ex-Boyfriend's Wife for President."

Just take the intake off, its mucho easy then. If it failed, go new, not used.

I think taking the intake manifold off is probably the way to go.

I can probably rebuild the old one after I swap them.

Yeah, taking the intake manifold off is definitely the way to go. What a PITA.
