    Need some A/C help

I bought a reman'd compressor for my project but I didn't have an old core. Subsequently, I dont have the fitting(s) to connect the hoses to the new compressor. The engine is a 97 S52, compressor is a Denso 10PA17C. I'm installing this in an 88 M3 (not that it matters I guess). If anyone has an old compressor around with the part I need, let me know $$. If any of you out there who run A/C in your swaps would like to offer some insight, please feel free.

    TIA,

    kroberts

To get my A/C working I brought it to the local A/C shop.

The shop needed e36 A/C lines and e30 A/C lines. They took the connectors off of the e36 lines and put them on the compressor ends of the e30 lines. Then they recharged the system and I was good to go.

The shop did say it was a difficult job to manipulate the e30 lines into position with the new compressor, but it works.

        Ken -

So do you still have your old E30 lines? If so, hold onto them and do like ^^^ says, after stopping off at wrecking yard and pulling the hoses out of any E36 - I did the same thing as the above guy, just at the local hydrolics shop, since I got new rubber too. It was $60 cash for me.

I made it super idiot proof when I dropped them off and color coded what ends needed to be made into which hose, just because you get all turned around if you aren't standing in front of the motor.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

A guy on bimmerforums says he has the fitting for me. Yes I still have my E30 lines and I'm told there's a good hydraulics shop just a few miles from my house. This may work out OK.
