    M20 temp sender info...

For the S52 swaps where you want to use the coolant port instead of drilling/tapping the head for the M20 brown sensor, the coolant fitting is a 12mm x1.5 pitch. You should be able to use a die to change the threads on the M20 sensor so it will fit in the head. The sensor is brass so it should be fairly soft metal to do this to. I'm picking up a die for $13 in an hour...

Yes, I mentioned this in the sticky thread above.

It works like a charm. Except, I used a couple different sized dies to go down to the proper one, as otherwise it's too big a jump.

Also, don't forget a crush washer to prevent leakage. It's not easy to get back in there after everything is installed.

Don't use teflon tape! The sensor grounds out to the head through the brass.

Oops, you're quite right. I'll edit my post ;) Just make sure that sucker doesn't leak!

That's why you throw a copper washer on the sensor before screwing it in, just like the oil drain plug.

You can file off the existing threads if you don't want to use two die sizes. It's brass so its very soft. 10 minutes for the filing and re-threading and it's done.
