You guys having speedo and tach issues... just send your clusters to a speedo shop. They can calibrate them properly for any faceplate.

Small problem...
Since the car comes with a 8k tach and 4 cyl coding plug, it isn't going to read right (but you already know this).
So you need a 6 cyl coding plug, but problem is, bmw never made a 6 cyl coding plug for a 8k tach. If you put the 7k 6 cyl coding plug (325i) in it, at redline, which is 8k, the engine will really be at ~7k. You can switch the gauge face back to a 7k tach (thats no fun though) and it will be spot on.
My guess is that it is possible to retain the 8k redline, but would probably cost a pretty penny or two. If someelse knows more, chime in!
You need something like this to get the correct tach output with the 8k tach - http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...cat/cat287.htm
Or do what Matt suggests and contact North Hollywood Speedo or Palo Alto Speedo to have it adjusted to read correctly.

or get in touch with Rev Engineer, he has a cool tach converter, you can use if you have an M3 cluster with m/s50 engine
he is also coming up with an OBC converter to read MPG accurately

I think 3.46 daily drive with 30-40% highways would be ok, and yes, it does leave a smile on my face when i pull away faster then the newer e46 variants
