Your opinion of a car please...

Obviously not my car (I'm looking for a swapped E30), but I thought you guys might like to see this car:

I'm sure that know this car, because I've been looking for a swapped E30 for quite some time. I saw the car cross the eBay auction block a while back (maybe early this year?) as what I think I recall was a Bronzit 325i. Same description (except the new parts), same interior right down to the steering wheel. Same engine & paint on the engine, but it didn't have the M3 body kit and it had a red painted engine bay. If you look close at the engine bay pics of this one, you can see that it looks like they tried a Lachssilber repaint without pulling the engine so the red shows through. Too bad also that they added the E36 side skirts & bumper but yeah I know that's subjective.

Anyway, what do you guys think of it?

Oh, I almost forgot. The guy says in his description, "one of my friends has the same motor in his car, with only 20 horses more and took a 600hp supercharged porsche on the race track".

Sounds like he's talking about Vlad's car. Is the owner of this car on R3V?

It's a sweet car, I am not a fan of that hood or body kit (front splitter looks like it's point up, side skirts and rear apron are UGLY IMO). Oh and the Merc steering wheel is blasphemy. But other than that, sick-ass swap car.

nice chatting with you the other week. i dont know this car, but i just read the ad.

i would question if the motor has been rebuilt and what cams are in it. he talks about new everything.....but it sounds like the stock motor, stock cams, not rebuilt..... with that assumption, its 286hp. dont want to rain on his parade, but it sounds like he has some facts mixed up.

as you mentioned earlier, you are looking for a daily driver......you might want heat and a/c.

good catch. can see red on rad support, strut towers. i agree, i think its the same 380hp stock s50b30 that was originally bronzit. cheers, jason

Interior is the only downfall to me. It's definately differant than most out there. Base model seats should have been upgraded.

Wasn't this the red car from e30tech? He kept stating that it was rebuilt...and was 315hp wheel due to upgrades but never devuliged them...Then sold the car claiming he didn't have enough brakes. When you just use some hmm common sense prior to mashing the gas pedal.

other than the sideskirts, rear bumper, hood and steering wheel it looks good to me. I like m3 fenders on non m's, i dunno why more people dont do it.

this car is for sale locally to me. i think it looks like a turd. the only plus on the car is hte motor. in his CL ad he was calling it an e30 m3...

Might call me crazy but if i were to get that car for the price i would part it out and save the goodies for another clean non-butchered e30 or m3....that thing is hideous!!
