Put my 2002 reservoir in today... not happy with what I did, need some ideas

    Hey guys,

So I put the reservoir in today and I can't get the lines to work with the reservoir upright without having the lines kink. Cutting them down to length and having the reservoir sit at a bit of an angle works but I don't want to leave it like this. I don't want to put the reservoir any higher than I have it because then it'd be higher than the strut tower.

Can anyone suggest some 90 deg hoses, where I can get some (a car dealer, or a hardware store)? Guess I'll try to see if I can find a pair of plastic elbows...

    Thanks!

Loop them. It's hard to explain without a picture. Think of a looped roller coaster, one that does a 360. This will increase the bend radius and prevent kinks.

Make the bracket longer and make the lines longer.

The reservoir is already the same level with the strut tower, any higher and it could rub the hood.

I'm gonna try to find an elbow, but I can see looping the line working too, thanks mate.

Extend the lines and relocate the reservoir.

            D-

I bet if you look around at what the S14'ers are doing with their res when they install a CF / DTM intake that would give you a few mounting location ideas.

Seems like Cramer had a detailed write-up in "General Discussion" about 2 months ago. If not here, then poke around on S14.n

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Just bend the upper part of the brackets to straighten the stance

There's more room there than you think. Make the bracket taller, seriously.

I don't want to mess with it. The level sender leads are already pretty much maxed out and I don't want to mess with extending them, moving the mount or making a new one, looping the lines will work perfectly. I tried to make a pair of elbows work but the reservoir nipples are so long that even with only one barb on the elbows, the lines are forced down and torque the fittings.
