Can I used M50NV parts for an obd1 conversion?

I'm currently pending sale on a s52, to replace my m50 non vanos with a crack head. I'm reading up on http://www.e30dohc.com/wiki/index.ph...OBD_Conversion to see what I need to do for the obd1 conversion and just had a couple questions.

Here is the parts list required for the conversion:

    OBD I Wiring Harness
OBD I ECU (413 "red label" is best given no EWS)
    OBD I Crank Sensor
    OBD I Cam Sensor
    OBD I Fuel Rail
    OBD I Knock Sensors (2)
    OBD I Intake Manifold
    OBD I Oxygen Sensor
    OBD I HFM
OBD I Main engine coolant hose
    OBD I Throttle Body (option)
    OBD I Throttle Boot

Now i assume I can use all of my parts from my M50NV, except for the ecu and wiring harness since I have the non vanos? Also where should I go to get a chip burned? I heard of AA having a chip for this setup, but I can't find it and I'm sure it will cost an arm and a leg.

You cannot use the crank pos or cam pos sensors. You will need knock sensors. You will need an OBDI MAF.

You can use your intake manifold and TB. And O2 sensor. I think that's about it.

Really? What is the difference in the cam pos sensors between m50nv and m50, i'm aware the m50nv runs hotter cams. Why do you say I need knock sensors (I think it's perhaps because the non vanos doesn't have knock sensors or do they just not match up)?
As far as i was aware i need the 4 pin maf, obd1 vanos wiring harness and 413 red label ecu? Which I'm in the market for right now.

What do you think of running a 3.5 euro hfm and 24lb injectors while im at it? What kind of hp gains would I be looking at, worth the $?

Non vanos = no knock sensors.

Run the stock S52 injectors and OBDI MAF.

I just listed a OBD 1 wire harness on eBay. You should be able to use all the crankcase/pcv hoses from your non vanos. And would think the fuel rail would be the same as well.

You need the diff sensors bc the Vanos motor is variable timing ajusted to get better mpg and horse, so the sensors are going to be diff.
The harness will also be diff from the two also. You will nneed one for the Vanos motors you can get one from either an M50tu or the S50 i belive they are the same.

For that its a matter of what your going to be doing with the car, and what price you can find it dose make a diff but not a really big one. It will make it pull a little harder and see a few more mph at the end of strait but nuthing like turbo or any thing.

i see, thanks for the explaination. I assume none of the parts I need have to be s50 specific, all m50 parts should work? I found a 95 m50 with 112k miles locally. The owner mis shifted and blew it, floating valves. Well he is selling the motor w/ accessories for $200 and will go lower on price. Dirt cheap for my obd1 conversion, I wil just pull all the parts i need myself, was going to do that on my M50nv anyways. That way i can go back and sell my m50nv and donate my m50 intake manifold to my brother's M-coupe so he will be able to keep up with me :).

M50nv stuff is not compatible with normal M50 stuff...

The harness in its entirety is different. Nothing electrical can be reused.

In fact, the only things that interchange are the intake manifold, and PCV parts. :(
