    Progress under the hood

I work on it a little every day after work. I made a wire harness for the relocated ABS pump, it came out pretty good I think. I use lots of heat-shrink tubing. I'm almost done attaching the heat reflective foil to the firewall. I got a set of the Treehouse eyeball arms for header clearance.

Slow progress is better than no progress at all.

It should give him plenty of room for a CAI.

I had to fabricate a mount plate for the ABS pump. The mount plate was a PITA. I can weld...but it aint pretty. I end up doing a lot of grinding and sanding. I used the mount cups that I cut out of the driver's side fender. I did it to provide a little extra clearance for a cold air box. Yes, I'm going to run A/C. Does anyone remember the red E30 M3 cabrio clone in Bimmer magazine last year? October issue, Frank Fahey built it for some rich guy ($80k). The pictures of that engine compartment are inspirational!

I'm going to bend up a set of brake lines next.

You guys really that interested in moving the ABS? I've talked to a lot of people about deleting it, but moving it could be nice, too.

That's a really nice job, also. Awesome paint and heatshields.

If you don't I will lol.

ABS is in the way for me, everything is crowded on the driver side and nothing is on the passenger side.

Except I would probably move mine where the washer fluid tank would stick. I got m3 bracketry in the way up where you have yours, and my diagnostics port is mounted there.
