Ok 6-cylinder swappers: We need your Code Plug!!

For any of you 4-cylinder guys swapping in a 6-cylinder, you will need a 6-cyl "Coding Plug", which is located on the back of the instrument cluster, so that your tachometer reads correctly.

We need a 4-cyl Coding Plug to make our V8 engine tach signal interface to the instrument cluster: So want to trade?? Our E30 had an M20 engine it, and was a 1986.

See our swap thread "E30-ls1" in the Members Rides forum

    I have one for you.

You were nice enough to send me your drawings for the brake setup, so I'll send this along to you.

PM or email me your address.

HI there. I know that two people were good enough to put their hand up prior to me but i'm in desperate need of a e30 325i coding plug.

Just use the 318 coding plug. The V8s send the same frequency as a 4 banger.

We don't need the code plug anymore. We found out during the swap that all we had to do was have the GM PCM re-flashed to output a signal compatible with a 6-cyl tach.

If you're doing a different kind of swap (not GM engine) we can't help you.

BTW: The "How-To" do the E30-LS1 swap CD is available for $99 -- 21 chapters that cover everything: wiring, mounts, fuel system, A/C, HydroBoost etc etc PM us for info :-D
