    Driveshaft confusion...

OK I did several searches for the info and can't seem to get it pinned down. I kept seeing info about the guibo bolts etc and don't want to go through anything I don't need to.

    Here's my combo: S52 w/250 Getrag trans into 88 325is.

Which driveshaft would work the best? My current 325is driveshaft needs to be rebuilt, so if I need buy a new one that would work with the S52 w/250 Getrag, I don't mind doing that. I just need to know which one to get...

OK thanks, that's what I thought. These swaps are way more complicated than they appear at first glance. I long for the days of old when all I had to do to swap in a 440 into my 6 cylinder Dodge Challenger was take it all out of a Charger and bolt it all back in...except for the driveshaft ;)

No, they're very simple. Just hard to get right. Mine is finally getting there.

If you'd just gone to a junkyard with a tape measure and not bothered searching the forum, you'd have found your answer much more quickly.

woa i have never heard that you need to reverse the E30 CSB, my CSB mounts just fine into the lets say 1 inch slots. It doesent bolt in 1/2 way of the slots though, its bolted about 3/4's of the way forward. I dont have it running yet so i dont know if theres any vibration problems but is this something im going to need to reverse??

I've done it both ways, reverse and the original orientation. No vibration problems either way. I can't comment about longevity, but what I can say is that the original orientation keeps the shaft straighter, which may help longevity.
