        no idea.......but, dont forget the 506/413 dme needs a digital speed signal.
        you will need a signal converter if you remove the stock speedo. cheers, jason

          what does the computer use the speed sensor to adjust. are you saying if i disconect the gauge cluster it wont work or if i disconect the wheel speed sensor it wont work. thanks

            the car will run. but it will not run at full potential. the dme will think your sitting at a stop light, reving your engine. i saw this first hand about 5 years ago. also, it will adjust your idle. the e30 speedo will convert the magnetic pulse signal into a digital signal for the dme and obc. i do know that there are some aftermarket signal converters.....i think dakota sells them. fortunately, the dme will also store it as a fault code, so you at least know whats going on.

            quick test..... park car in neutral on hill. rpms near 800. let off brake and let the car start to roll down the hill (car still in neutral). somewhere around 3-5mph the idle will adjust to 950-1000.

                IIRC, Turner has a chip that can disable the speed signal.
