Installed the 540HFM & Turner Chip for L/F and HFM

    I cannot stop smiling:)

Holy mother upgrade, night and day difference, pull is almost instantaneously!

My idle is now flat sitting just about 1000-1100, no more stalling:)

First the car would not start and I was about to give up until I saw the hose underneath the intake bellow disconnected:) & off I go!

I did those mods before i had the engine in the car. I was just thinking the other day, on whether or not it was worth the money. Ill take it from your post that it was!

for the guys running get260 + m20 flywheel/clutch, wouldnt this be considered a LWF compared to the dual mass? so all one would have to do is get the HFM + Turner chip for HFM + LWF? hehe tryn to cheat over here.

Jorge, you gotta do it!!! No need to 21 or 24 lb injectors...I was thinking of getting them but I called TM and AA and it is not necessary unless you cams

that's what I just ordered from there, it was $20. Just need to cut in adapter for the vacuum hose. Figures NOW Bimmerworld has the Samco hoses in stock...

Basically, what I did was just got a straight reducer instead which I connected from the boot to the HFM.

I returned the 90 degree elbow ($19.99) - used the stock 3" intake boot still -

What chip did you have in there before? Stock?

I have a Dinan chip that made 217 rwhp but is running lean.

I bought the Samco from Turner (who also said I didn't need injectors) and have a 540 HFM but haven't installed them yet because I was thinking custom tune. Maybe it's not needed?

Also, why is your idle so high?

I had a stock 506 chip in the DME

You definitely need the custom burned chip when you put the 540HFM - I am just happy that my idle is very steady now, I used to have a slight up and down idle bec of the L/Flywheel. The chip is also for L/F and it raised the idle so you do not stall at all which happened often.
