    Project Turbo S50 Begins

So its been almost six months since I threw a rod on my s50 e30 and im finally starting to work on the car. Im so busy working on the cars at work I never get to work on my own.
This time the car is coming back turbo'ed and much lighter, i cant wait.
Im going with a manifold and turbo from The Racers market
Using a 2.8 bottom end with m3 cams
I already recieved my front brakes from massive and they are amazing. Im going with a twin master cylinder set up with massive brakes front and rear.
Im going to post pictures of my progress later.

Silly you, why would you lighten an E30 with an S50 turbo? You need the ass to be as heavy as possible to keep the tires from spinning.

          :p

Wow, that's only the second time I've ever seen a hole in a BMW block.

Did you send chunks of rod out the side or what?

The rotors are made by wilwood and the hats are made by massive. The massive brake kit fits perfectly and was really simple to install. As for the motor, yes a rod did come through the block. both sides and the oil pan, it even broke the motor mount on the passenger side. I dropped a valve and all hell broke lose. i cant say i didnt get my fun out of that motor even though it was short lived. i cant wait to get my car back on the road. I am building an s50 currently with eagle rods and cp pistons and full head work but in order to get the car on the road sooner im puting an m52 with thicker headgasket and the cams from my blown engine. I figure i can probably make around 500hp on the m52 and that should keep me happy until the built motor is ready.
