T-junction instead of tapping the m/s52 head?

Sry too lazy to search, I was faintly remember somebody reading that somebody out there makes some kind of T junction allowing the two required sensors needed for the OBD1 swap the abiliity to run off of the one hole in the cyl. head. Anybody have any details/links?

    TIA

If it works at all. Didn't on the one swap I tried it on.

It's easier to just re-thread one of the sensors to the correct pitch. Takes 10 minutes. Uses a file to file off the old threads and use a 12x1.5 die to re-thread the brass body. It works just fine.

Took a look at that zionsivlle adapter, looks like shit. I may just do what that person did E30 Memoroial posted; turn the the single sensor into a dual-plug for the ECT and the gauge. Or i'll just suck it up and get the head tapped.:p

Splicing won't work. That's only a solution for E36 OBDI conversions because the clusters accept the same signal. You must have the E30 sender.

I give another vote to rethread the E30 sensor to fit the TB warming nipple hole. My intake isn't on yet, you can come by and have a look. All you need to do after that is to cut off and plug the lead from the spider hose that feeds the TB (the return line for the circuit). I think this is one of those BMW over-engineering things. Volvos are made to operate in some pretty damn harsh winter climates and none of them have any throttle body frost issues.

Not a great shot but here, note where the brown sensor is:

If you're gonna get an adapter, support one of our boys, get it from the Racer's Market (Matt), plus it's only 15 bucks there:

If you're talking about the wiring harness that splits the OBDII sensor into the two plugs for an OBDI car, that will only work for an e36.

                      Thanks for the plug.

That is for putting an aftermarket gauge sender into the hole for the TB heater.

It adapts M12x1.5 threads in the head to a 1/8NPT gauge sender.

Oh... you might want to consider one threaded for whatever the E30 sender is (I think it's M12, I think the hole is actually M10... maybe it's M14 then), cause that's an easy solution for S52 E30 conversions. I know above it was said that rethreading the sensor takes 10 minutes but my experience varies from that by a very large amount of time.
