    DME / ECU mount

    why is the 318is mounting hardware used to mount the e36 DME / ECU ?

    is it mountable without this? how much easier is it to get this piece

    cause thats what came stock in my car ;)

    idk never heard of ppl not being able to use the holder from a 325?

      because the holder on the 325i/e are build onto the ecu. so there is no seperate piece. you need the 90+ ecu mount.
      NEED SOME VINYL STICKERS???

              damn, $25? its under $15. or $3 at the junkyard :)

                            No, i don't think this is possible. The dme grounds through the harness.

                              As far as I know it does need to be grounded. Lots of people had problems due to improper ground on DME. If you use the late 318 mount it will ground it.
                              I might be wrong but grounding the case won't hurt it for sure.
