    Fire but no fuel pump or injector pulse

    Hey guys, My 90 325ic is getting a 95 Auto 525 M50. We wired it up correctly but we arent getting any fuel or injector pulse.
    I was wondering if there were any wires pertaining to the Auto trans on the M50 harness that need to be bypassed.
    We are running a silver label, But i believe it was a Pre-EWS car.
    Is the problem that i dont have a Red label?

    you cannot run the silver label 413 DME without some sort of EWS delete chip. talk to Matt, his company has the EWS delete chip for $100. thats about $200 cheaper than buying the Turner chip...

      thanks, I searched before posting and noticed that if the production date is pre 95 it will have EWS-1? and you can disable it pretty easily?

        u just need to open up the ecu and replace the chip.

          ok, ill clip the #66 wire for shits and giggles. Ive also read that i can swap in any M50 chip? instead of buying a turner?
          What cars/ecus should i look for for the M50 chip?

              ok, Sorry to keep beating around the bush. Its just that the donor(525i) car is 30Ft away and i wish there was some way to stick the EWS shit from it in there to get it temporarily running(need a DD)

                not easily. you would need to run the almost the entire chassis wiring harness from teh e34. just order the damn chip, you mite even get it by friday.

                  Thanks for your help man. One more question. Will this link be pertinant? since im using a Auto E34 harness? The car was converted to a 5 speed previous to the M50 swap.

                    This statement is false. Not all silver label 413 DME's have EWS. Don't go buying chips until you verify the build date.

                      Will do, I plan on checking that as soon as i get back to the shop. Hopefully its 11/94 and previous. Then i need to clip the #66 green wire?

                        This is incorrect as well. EWS is pretty easy to wire in as long as you have the key and EWS box from the donor car.

                          I installed a silver label (pre-95) DME on my last swap, albeit from an E36 with no issues. I not sure about the E34 Auto DME's, but I didn't have to clip any wires.

                            Everything IS there. So that wouldnt be a problem. Its kind of being cheap. But right now i dont really have any choice. My volvo shit the bed and im bumming rides.
                            So the less i have to wait the better. Esp if i can order the parts after i get it running and still drive it, until they arrive

                              If it's not an EWS problem I had an issue like this and turned out my coil packs werent getting a good ground . I ran a wire from the strut tower to one of the coils and got pulsating at the pump and injectors.
