Mike B. is right on all accounts. However, it's usually not worth it to wire in EWS when you're doing a US motor conversion.
The link you posted, regarding bypassing the starter relay applies to an automatic e30 chassis, not an automatic M50 wiring harness. If the e30 was an auto when you started, then yes, bypass it.
If you have questions, I'm on AIM for the next half hour or so.Comment

Alright thanks. The ultimate conclusion is that if i wasnt sure of the production date, i should have gotten a Red label or Delete chip Sourced/on the way. Because im almost positive its wired correctlysigpicComment

How did you determine you weren't getting any fuel?
This may be a long shot, but I have reversed fuel lines in the past. When this occurs it appears that there is no fuel because the ECU shuts down the fuel pump when the car doesn't fire. The pump will run when you jump the fuel pump relay, but everything is running in reverse. Take a look, it could be a quick fix.Comment

Just scored a Red label 413 for 100 bucks. We have a local German Autowerks. And the owner is a good friend.
So hopefully that will solve thingssigpicComment
