It was only running on four cylinders.

hahaha! The four banger does have a je ne sais quoi about it--paired with a lower ratio rack and a fresh suspension, the feeling of immediacy is unparalleled.

A tired M42 is not pretty, but when it is in good shape, it's not that bad!

                      LOL

AFAIK, it had shattered a bearing...

Basically hard cornering at high rpm's starved the #2 rod bearing and it not only spun the bearing, but also shattered one of the rod bearings. But yes, was a major issue that it had 4 cylinders, no balls.

And btw, if you think the m5 is sexy, you shoulda seen the e36 and e30 he has/had.

Are you parting the M42? I wouldn't mind that valve cover and full intake manifold...

Can I get back to you in a week or so? I'm talking with Joe Funk about trading it to him for the m50. Not sure yet tho.

                              Thanks
