    S50 head question

How is it possible for an S50 to bend valves? What has to go wrong? I have found an S50 with bent valves for 700 for the whole engine. I would like to know what else could be wrong and what I need to do to correct it. Thanks.

    Overrev/misshift.

Depends on how bad, could just need a new head or new valves, or it could need an entire motor.

Word . You wont know the extent of the damage until you pull the head though .

Grab that motor and a M50TU head. Blammo, you get an complete engine.

Unless there is piston damage. Or block damage.

The seller says the block is good just needs new valves. 700 a good price for long block and head? It is out of a 95 M3.

Of course he's gonna say that, he's trying to sell it. Inspect it yourself, with the head off the block.

Yah its not too hard to pull the head off the motor and it shouldn't take too long. Check it out and make sure.

Sticking a 2.5L head on would still require cams, Don't damage them while removing the head.

700 is a good deal but what is included for that price? Accesories, wiring harness, intake?
