dont know how to search this question

ok. so i was thinking of what to do with the M3. and i had a thought. what about a m50 block with s50 head? what about the same and add shricks? ok that and add all the basic bolt ons i.e. pulleys, 3.5maf etc?

what kind of power? what would i gain/lose vs a s50/52? im thinking it might be a cheaper alternative to a s52 and A LOT different than a s50. being different and cheaper than the norm is what im trying to go for here. thoughts?

A M50 with S50 head and cams is just a M50 with cams , you don't gain anything by the head as they are the same .

I would guess with those mods and bolt-ons you'd be lucky to see 215 at the wheels .

There are a few good threads on bf.c that lists power gains for most mods and bolt-ons .

ah, i was under the impression that the head flowed better than the m50 head. hmm. damn back to the drawing board i guess.

A US S50 is pretty much nothing more than a stroked M50 with cams, nothing fancy.

you have an m3...i would not put anything less than an s50 in there. you might as well mod the s14, get better numbers and retain the whole ///M superiority ideal thing. .02
