    Pulled the Transmission today- question

So today I pulled the transmission in hopes of fixing the various problems I have listed on this forum in the past.

After removing the pain in the ass trans I started unbolting the pressure plate and clutch disk. I got those off and started unbolting the flywheel. When I unbolted the flywheel oil started coming out of the holes where the bolts just were threaded into. Each time I pulled a bolt out on the bottom half, oil started pouring out.

Do the threads just go all the way through to the block and crankshaft?

Here's a pic I found to help show you what I am talking about. disregard the writing on the picture. the area of interest is where the flywheel bolts up.

Yeah the bolt holes in the crank shaft do go through, they leak if you don't use some sealer on them as well.
