    apex SAFC2?

so im looking into options with my m50 swap and wondering how much of a gain a SAFC2 would give me. i found one for a good price so im considering it more now. what are the pros and cons? would it actually be worth it?

    thanks in advance,
    eric

If you have access to a dyno for cheap it will def. help. The Con to safc/vafc/neo's is that it only adjusts fuel, no timing adjustment, and any "real" tunning requires adjustments of both..

The SAFC inadvertently modifies ignition timing due to the way it manipulates the MAF signal to make fueling changes.

My friends M50/E30 has one. It's mounted on the check panel and I seem to get distracted monitoring A/F...which you shouldn't do mid-corner. So don't get an SAFC. Just kidding, PM lordofmpower, he'll tell you more about it.

That's the least of the issues with it, in all honesty.

There are ways you can make them work, but nothing compares to a true custom tune.

List of mods you don't do, no matter what: (in order)

            1) Piggyback module on the ECU (especially one that does change timing, they cause huge issues)
            2) Change MAF without tuning
            3) Change injectors without tuning
            4) Adjustable FPR (basically the same thing as number 3)
