    almost ready...

i am almost ready to get the engine/drivetrain in the car, also almost done buying and stocking all of my parts, but am having a bit of a hard time. i am coming from the vw background and can put togather a car in no time, but the e30 is a bit different. i am doing a m50 nv swap and need the finishing parts.

    the parts in question...

    driveshaft?
    clutch/flywheel/pressure plate? (i am using a 97 m3 ZF trans)
    rear diff? (don't want the 4.10, i would like a 3.23)
    trans mounts?

any other parts and problems that you have had please inform me.

    thanks.

The E30 M3 driveshaft bolts right up.

Use trans mounts from the 320i

You should read the Comprehensive Engine Swap thread although IMHO it is getting too big to be useful.

The search function will become your friend.

yeah, i need to find another m3 driveshaft because the car didn't come with the orig drivetrain when i bought it.

ok, i will order some mounts up. how about the x brace?

i was reading the thread, but i know most of what they talked about in it already and i agree with you about it being to big to be useful.

as far as gears, a 3.25/3.23 are nice, but i kind of wish i went for 3.46 gears. i first drove the swap w/ my 4.10, and when i put the 3.25 i was a lil disappointed in the torque loss. however longer gears r nice with the e36 zf tranny, and stock m3 gears r either 3.15 or 3.23 i think

i can't find out where to buy them at all. searched autohausaz.com, etc... and still no luck. all they have is e34 round mounts and i want the green 1988 m5 ones so it is a direct bolt on to my m50 swap into a 91 m3.

                please help. thanks.
