just seeing if any body's m50 does or did this and if so what could be the cause.
i have a 94 m50 2.5 vanos.
and when the engine is cold the motor will start up and idle at like 700 rpm's fairily normal. but after the coolant gauge gets around half way and settles down the engines idle goes up to right around 1k and stays. and then when im driving with the throttle just barely cracked (as if going throguh a parking lot) the motor will act like i dropped the throttle to close and then it will return with a jerk of the car. i dont have my 02 sensor hooked up i have a dinan chip(ive tried swapping dmes with a stock chip in it just to quickly make sure it wasnt the chip) i have a massive cone filter and all the throttle body vents plugged. what the fuck? any body know whats going on or what i could try.
also i have what sounds like valve train noise. but the sound is more through the headers (i have the tubular headers from fleebay that every body has) i currently have 1k miles on the car since i did the swap. i checked for exhaust leaks and found none. should i just run a quart of atf fluid in there to see if i have a deflated hydraulic lifter ? or is it the headers ringing? any body else with these headers have this problem. they are the obx headers.
thanks homies!!!!
