hey golde30, think you could at least find some el cheepo muffler and put a band clamp on it or somethin? Im sure you could find a dual inlet to shove on there. Some thoughtful ass-coverage is better than nothing at all.

just call AAA if you have it. If you plan on shifting above 1500RPM it's going to be brutal. Bring earplugs, the headphone type that covers your whole ear. You'll need them!

i only have regular AAA. 7 miles isnt gonna cut it. not to mention they hardly ever send a flatbed, and theres no way my car can be towed by a conventional tow-truck.

i plan on getting an X-pipe after the ebay headers, into a dual in dual out high flow cat, and then a dual 2" into single 2.5" back to a magnaflow.

that's what i did ex i had to drivelike 28miles. it'll only be loud when you give it gas...1500rpm or 4000rpm lol you'll see. what are you exhaust plans?

i drove my car with open header for about 100 miles till i finally got exhaust. its just really loud and anoying. get funny looks from people on the road

I ran with no exhaust off an open head once and didn't have any problems. Of course, I only drove it about 5 miles to pick my brother up from school. It was loud as fuck!

ummm they are built for that though.. thats like saying its ok to run 40psi on the motor too because dragsters do it..

to OP... its fine to run it with open headers but might be annoying as it will be loud inside the cab as well.. but a quick run to the muffler shop is the same thing im gonna do.
