    Need Some Assistance

    alright heres my situation...

    I have a 1992 325i and a 1990 325iS, i plan on swapping a rebuilt low compression boosted "i" motor into the "iS" in the 2008 winter season, because this spring/summer i'am going to be driving the "i" and sand blasting... maybe acid dipping the e30, removing the engine and all that jazz getting it ready to get painted(from top to bottom), and have it ready to drop in the "i" motor in late winter, early spring,, and then 2009 spring summer do the same to the "i" shell and drop my LS1 engine and t56 tranny i have sitting in the basement.


    BUT i can't find a detailed list on what I'll need from my e36 and all the other parts to do the m50 swap in the e30, i know theres a few list in the sticky at the top of this sub forum, but it just doesn't seem complete to me for some reason?

    so if someone knows where I can find a link to one or a thread that i have missed or even a DIY swap with step by step (doubt that one lol) it would be greatly appreciated

    I will be doing a walk through on both my builds and I will be making some blue prints of fabbed piece's along the way to try and make this easier such as the brake booster i m going to try and fab something up so you can use the stock BB, and shit like that because I'm a M.E. and also have my welder /fitter... so I m sure i can think of something lol

    here's a partial guide to a swap



    Essentially, once you've installed an E34 525i M50 oilpan, dipstick, and oil pickup tube, you're pretty much ready to drop it into the E30 chassis with E36 engine mount arms on E28 535i/M5 engine mounts.

    That is the essence of the swap.
