    Shifter linkage question...

    I have a S52 w/ZF tranny in my E30.

Everything hooks up, except the shifter is to the right and forward. I seen somewhere that if you bend the selector rod, you'll correct the problem.

Bend it which way and how many degrees?

    Thanks in advance.

Cut the selector rod in an un-flattened spot. Tap it for a bolt (all thread). Put nuts on the all thread and then put it into the selector rod. Put the selector rod in place, have someone hold the shifter in the correct spot, and tighten the nuts down onto the selector rod. Pull it out and weld it up. It is offset by about 10 degrees.

i'm not so sure.... S52 and ZF should put that shifter right in place...mine did it.

10degrees off if you use G260 tranny. just throwing thoughts out there before you cut your shifter/linkage
      No more e30s for me.
