Plus, my 3.0's dyno plot shows steady power all the way to 7200. HP peaks at 6700 but is pretty much a flat line to redline. This is helpful when you're rowing through multiple gears. 3.2 car had a passenger when we ran them, so after a few runs we put the passenger in my car and yielded similar results. (edit: meaning i still pulled on him just not quite as much)
About cams, I pretty much built the motor on a budget when I was in high school, so a $1000 payout for Schricks wasn't really possible. I could probably pick up a good bit of power with cams, but it'd be diminishing returns because the car really needs brakes and other things before it needs more power.
