    Custom exhaust cost?

I had purchased a Stromung muffler and a center pipe set from VSR in New Hampshire. The VSR is a bolt-in for the E30 M3 so I'm going to have it hacked up and adapted to the Ebay headers (a shame really). I read that the Stromungs are really quiet. I'm not a big fan of quiet. I haven't installed this system yet and I'm thinking about selling it if I can find a buyer. Selling also depends on the cost of a decent exhaust system with cats.

So what have you guys spent on exhaust built to a set of ebay headers?

    TIA,

    kr

the stromung system sounds pretty nice, just run a gutted cat/ no cats and that'll make it louder

mine has run me round 700, with 2 mufflers and a highflow cat with a complete repipe. unfortunately it'll run me another 250 when i get a nice set of headers, then go 2.5" instead of 3".

I haven't even installed it yet. I had read that Stromungs are quiet and I thought "stock" quiet. I did some snooping around in Youtube and found some vids of Stromungs...

If mine sounds that good I'll be happy. It should I suppose, I'll have the same muffler with a set of head pipes that breathe better than the stock E36 set does. I dont think I want to dissect the cats. Once I do, there's no going back.

              Thanks for the replies.

Man, I paid maybe 30 bucks in materials and broke out my welder and bandsaw and hacked up some stock head pipes to the x-pipe I made then dual 2.25" all the way back to my Dynomax.

Mine was free! I got about 3 feet of e34 down pipes with the motor. I chopped them up and hacked them into stock e30 mid-section.
