    95 M3 rack in 91 318is?

I searched get over it. I have been breaking in my S50 swap for a month now and have realized the stock steering rack is definetly leaking. I kept the good rack from my 95 M3 race car that unfortunately donated the motor for my swap. Will the 95 rack fit? Exactly what do I need to make it fit? Any other helpful suggestions?

There are people who maintain that the swap in airbag cars is actually easier, as long as you're willing to have a plate fabricated for your firewall so you can move the column down and to the side slightly. A search should turn up the exact post.. I'm looking for it.

Do I use E30 tie rods for this rack swap?

You searched, really? Did you happen to see the third thread in the FAQ?

I just used a burr bit on my firewall when I did my '90. I used E30 tie-rod assemblies.

Some more info here for airbag car swaps :

I am fixing to do this swap in a airbag car as well. You can use either e30 or e36 tie rods. I plan on using e36 tie rods as they are suppose to give a bit more wheel/tire clearance from what I have heard.

Thank you sir, now if I may ask a further question: is it confirmed that the quickest steering rack (in MM travel per steering wheel travel rotation) is indeed the Z3 4cyl? There seems to be... conflicting information in this matter.
OP, sorry for the half threadjack.
