    He's having a lot of bugs. :(

There are plenty of people who daily drive turbo e36s... no reason it should be any different in an e30 chassis.

Haha yes he is but it seems to be more related to his manifold at this point. and previously it was him trying to tune the ecu himself.

He could have saved a shitload of money and headaches by buying a TRM stage 2 with a chip tune. He would have been out ~$6500 and he would have a dead reliable 550hp S50.

Matt this is true. I agree with you.

Some people would rather design a kit themselves. Im one of those people. He apparently wanted the bling of the 666 parts. Turns out the manifold didnt work out so well for the boost he wants to run.

I dont think its right to hate on people just cause they're doing they're own thing and not buying your kit.

Oh well. Its obvious a semi high hp turbo bmw can be DD reliably. Its all in the parts and the build. If you take the time and the money to do it right the first time you should be fine.

I am not hating on Chris... he's a customer of ours also. I have a lot of respect for people who DIY... that's how we all start in this business. But there is a certain point where reinventing the wheel doesn't make sense.

I think a lot of people who have gone different routes have realized this.

I disagree. Truthfully, it's all about the tuning.

You don't think the quality of parts has anything to do with reliability?

I didn't say that. Tuning is just the most important piece of the puzzle.

Ok so quality of tuning, and parts and attention to detail.

                    Basically the whole kit. lol.

You could be a bum and rock a BEGI FMU at low boost. I know Matt will disagree with me ( :) ) Plenty of people have been building and driving reliable turbo cars for plenty of years with the fmu.

                    All in all...

A new FMU is like what, $225 and a chip tune from trm is what $400? (correct me if im wrong)

The peace of mind from the proper chip may be worth the extra $$

Honestly, i like the MSnS idea. I know it has its flaws but if you know the system its all fixable and you can infinitely upgrade your tune to what ever mods you do whether n/a or turbo.
