    Speed sensor delete?

I keep seeing mention of the 'speed sensor delete' function that needs to be on the chip when using the late model ECU's in the E30's. Don't the chips from AA, Conforti, etc have this feature standard, or is it an add-on needed when installing into an E30?

Also have seen something about having to hardwire to the speedometer or something like that. What EXACTLY is this referring to. I thought the ECU was a plug n play into the E30 using the late model harnesses (either E36 or E34)...

Didn't think to ask these questions earlier, only since my ECU doesn't want to work has any of this come up. I just want to make sure I have it all correct...

ecu needs a road speed signal to run car properly. fortunately, the e36 and e30 use the same road speed signal off the diff. if you wire it correctly, you do not need to get a special chip.

    quick search......
