    I mostly did it because when going to the 3.5 HFM, you have a boot, a coupling, and reducer. I figured one flowing part would just be simpler and take up less space.

      I just drilled the holes into the bottom and mounted them straight into it without the two hoses sticking down. Lil bit of protrusion into the inside when you put the ICV hose and the other hose in, but haven't had any issues w/ seal or anything.
