obdII manifolds and mid-pipes.

I have a M50NV, and i put on OBDII manifolds, and mid-pipes. and its hitting my sway bars, any ideas what i could do?

got e36 pipes didnt you.. someone needs to try e34 pipes cause im pretty sure they will work. either that or get ebay headers, you wont get any power out of obd2 manifolds.

Bimmer forums, say that the OBDII manifolds, are better or equal than the ebay headers. The OBDII manifolds are tubular.

What engine mounts are you using, and do you have them spaced at all?

I used E34 downpipes, E34 mid section, E36 M3 rear muffler at one point!
Fit fairly decent.

Did not hit the sways, however was very low and bottomed out on speed bumps. (midsection was low)

Hear a lot of that, doesnt matter that much cause you will never see a significant gain on an m50 with different manifolds, i ran obd2 and i have the ebay headers. Didnt get them for a power increase, but some people have shown 5whp.

You gotta port out the OBDII mani's to feel anything. But even still its all about the same.
You gotta beat the shit out of the exhaust to make it right like everyone. No way around it. Also THR Lollipops help with clearances. A little is a lot on these cars with this swap...

I used the OB2 headers. I,moved ox sensor location and on the pipe in question I cut a pie shaped wedge out of the pipe as close to the flange as I could that caused the flange to kick up . Rewelded (remember its stainless) the down pipe and had all the clearance I needed !! I'm running the M3 bushing and again have enough clearance. Try this it works great . joe
