    Engine mounting brackets for E30?

In researching the proper engine mounting brackets and rubber mounts for an S52 swap to an E30 I am still confused. Are the aluminum mounting brackets from the E36 used or are the aluminum brackets from an E28 535i the right ones? What about the mounting brackets from an E34 with the M50 motor?

    TIA

          E36 or E28 M30 (535i)

From the two replies above it looks like either the E36 or E28 aluminum engine mount arms would work. Is one better than the other for clearance of the brake booster (325ix) and the intake plenum. Just wanting to make sure before I buy some.

arms = metal things that bolt to block = from e36.

Mounts = rubber things that go between outer part of arms and body/subframe. People use e28 mounts for that but I've heard/seen the hexagonal green ones are the ones to get, but the hex shape doesn't help with clearance you just need the right height so maybe it doesnt matter.

Are you feeling wrong, too? Next time, read the question before regurgitating the 'next time search' line.

As stated, the mount arms stay with the engine. E36 engine = E36 mount arms. Use whatever rubber mounts you need to (probably E28 535).
