    non vanos swap already done

Just purchased a 91 318is that has a nonvanos swap already done. 2 questions

    1. will the ebay headers bolt up to the exhaust already on the car? (has factory header)

    2. If i swap an s50 in the future, will exstensive rewiring be required? Or is it as simple as swapping in the new engine/harness/dme and plugging up the round connector on the firewall?

    thanks

Probably be able to use the same harness adapter for s50 vs m50 depending on wether or not the m50 is out of a e34 or an e36.

The headers will kinda "bolt up" i guess the way they have it set up from the seller is to cut the mid pipes where they meet the headers and clamp em together. I know a bunch of people weld flanges on so its a little cleaner and easier to deal with.

you will have to redo the engine side connector to match the car.

i hear u can get the headers in, but its tight and bloody.

Well the way im seeing it is how much does the car to engine adapter have to do with? According to the sheet i used to do my swap it does nothing with vanos (why would it) and is chassis specific, not motor specific.

Its like 12 wires or something. Im sure if the non-vanos was out of a e36, the adapter would be the same.

        Maybe im wrong.

I can PM you the table i used for the wiring.
