    Gas Tank Pressure

I took my completed swap car to the gas station today for its first fill-up. When I removed the tank filler cap, the tank "relieved itself" big time. There was a lot of pressure inside, it's got me a little concerned. I'm posting this here because I dont remember the car doing it when the S14 was installed and I dont remember my old 325 doing it.

Is this normal? If not, what are the possible causes?

On a positive note, this car is friggin fast. Just unbelievable what a torquey 260 horse engine will do in a 2900 pound car. What a blast!!!

The canister is not installed but the control valve is connected to the vent tube and plugged in. I assumed it would just vent to atmosphere. I may have the hose on the wrong valve port?

I was just fiddling with it the other day (no room for the canister either). It goes to the manifold, so maybe it has a one-way valve? That'd make sense if you have it connected wrong. I'm not sure if that'd be enough to build pressure though... I dont know but it'd be good to get an answer from someone that does, I'm about to hook it up too!

If the picture on RealOEM is correct, I have mine connected backwards. Shit.
