Best chip for 21.5's and 540 MAF...

I'm sure it's been covered before but fuck you guys!

I'm going to toss 21.5 lb injectors and a 540 MAF on to my S50 and wondering who sells a chip for this setup. Is it really that big of a deal to run these mods without having a chip made to go with them? I'm running a 413 red label by the way.

Definitely don't run the motor without the right software.
That said, most of the software for the 540i MAF is for 24# injectors. I've got the Conforti chip in mine and it runs nicely. Spins second from a roll on dry pavement and gets 30 mpg on the highway cruising at 80 or so.

2nd. Do NOT run them without the chip. I am not aware of anyone who has a tune for that hfm and injectors though. 24 lbers all the way. Then you will be set for some Schricks. :)

I did the whole search for chips for that combo and just ended up getting some 24lb injectors instead. I also have a Conforti chip from Turner.

21.5 is plenty for an NA car with schricks.

Same answer as absolutely everything else in the world... money.

Do you sell a customer a chip that gives them 20hp or do you sell them a chip that gives them 5hp, a MAF that gives them 10hp, then injectors that give them 5hp?

BMW motors have much lower BSFC than most people give them credit for also.

OH, also 17.5s aren't always enough for schricks, but 21.5s are. SO OBDI cars could swap to OBDII injectors to make that much power.

We built a car like that... bone stock OBDI 99 M3, 3.5" MAF, schricks and a chip = 250whp.
